Itinerary Details
Day 1
(MD, Motel) Travel via Toodyay for morning tea break then onto Goomalling, Wyalkatchem for lunch with optional visit to the Agricultural Museum. North to Koorda then via Kalannie to Dalwallinu and a walk in the flowers of the Old Well.
Day 2
(FB, MD, Motel) On to New Norcia, Australia’s only Monastic Town steeped in history, tradition, and architecture. We view amazing art in the Art Gallery. After morning tea we visit Rica Erickson Reserve and move onto Mount O’Brien reserve for more flowers. On to lunch at Wongan Hills and in the afternoon Reynoldson Reserve for another walk in the flowers. Return to Dalwallinu.
Day 3
(FB, MD, Motel) We travel north along the Great Northern Highway into the Station and Goldfields country. We are out in the scrub searching for a range of flowers including the beautiful Wreath Leschenaultia, a unique flower often growing in disturbed gravel. In the afternoon it is out of the station country to the Wheatbelt towns of Morawa and Perenjori and return to Dalwallinu.
Day 4
(FB) Out to the west to Badgingarra for morning tea. Down Cockleshell Gully Road and a walk in the flowers. Then the seaside town of Jurien Bay for lunch. Afternoon drive to the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. Later our last flower stop is at Nilgen Reserve before our return to Perth.
