Casey Tours have released the day tour dates for the remainder of 2018 and there are plenty of day trips in Perth and its surrounds to tempt you out for the day. Here are just a few of the tours on offer:
Balingup Medieval Carnivale
Each year the little town of Balingup transforms into a medieval land filled with knights, jesters, ladies of the court and other characters from a time long past. The day is filled with entertainment from minstrels, jugglers, acrobats, knights jousting, music and much more. There are market stalls selling local produce, food, wine as well as some unusual old world handcrafted wares. Everyone who attends the day is encouraged to participate by coming dressed in medieval costume. The carnival is held on the 25th August this year.
Spring Wildflower Day Tour
Come with Casey Tours and our on board botanical guide as we explore the wonderful wildflowers of the Perth floristic region. These tours are run a little differently this year, our wildflower hunter will head out on a scouting mission in the week leading up to the trip and find the most interesting blooms for our passengers. It’s a mystery just where you will be headed, but it will be certain to delight wildflower enthusiasts! Dates for this trip include: 9th September, 22nd September and the 7th October.
Pinnacles, Indian Ocean Drive & Moore River Tour
Nambung National Park is home to the iconic Pinnacles of WA. Attracting around 250,000 visitors each year the desert covers an area of 190 hectares and holds thousands of limestone outcrops. Together the pinnacles form an unusual landscape, with varied shadows falling across the desert sand when the sun is at its lowest points of the day. While in the region make a stop at the beautiful Moore River where the river meets the Indian Ocean, and perhaps if you’re lucky you might even spot some wildflowers. This tour departs on the 13th October
