Itinerary Details
Day 1
(MD, Motel) Travel via Greenmount Hill and the Great Eastern Highway past the blue Lechenaultia flowers to Cunderdin. South east to the Charles Gardner Nature Reserve for a wildflower walk and Bruce Rock for lunch. Continuing through the fertile soils of the Wheatbelt we come across The Boot Mile, an interactive tourist display unlike any other before reaching our home for three nights in Hyden.
Day 2
(FB, MD, Motel) We spend the day exploring the interesting features of the region, Wave Rock, Hippos Yawn, The Lace Place, Toy Soldier Display and Mulkas Cave. During the day we hope to find Orchids, Verticordia, Cassia, Grevillea, Damperia and others, before returning to Hyden. Note: All entries included.
Day 3
(FB, MD, Motel) Spending the day to the South of Hyden in the Shire of Lake Grace we travel along chains of lakes to Lake King. We look for Sundews, Hakea, Leptospermum, Chamelaucium, Synaphea and Acacia. Though Newdegate to Lake Grace and return to Hyden.
Day 4
(FB) Travelling via the Tin Horse Highway to Kulin, Eucalyptus macrocarpa is the flora emblem of the Shire of Kulin, we take a walk along the Macrocarpa Walk Trail. Returning to Perth with a final wildflower walk in the forest along the way.
